A local blog has reported an attack on a student at Wor-Wic Community College on Thursday evening, Sept. 5, where local law enforcement was called to the scene. The report is unfounded. After checking with college security, the 911 call center and local law enforcement agencies, it has been determined that security did not witness an attack nor was one reported to them by an alleged victim or any witnesses. In addition, there is no record of any calls to the 911 center, the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office or the Maryland State Police. The college has no evidence to indicate that an attack happened on its campus on Sept. 5.Certainly the college takes any and all alleged crimes committed on campus very seriously and will continue to investigate this reported incident to determine what prompted this unconfirmed allegation.
The following, (word for word) are the messages I received. Note, NO ONE from WorWic made ANY attempt to contact me. So their last paragraph is a load of crap.
Fwd: Step son got mugged in wor wic parking lot, by a black guy of course. They
arrested the perp.
Fwd: Lead pipe. They fought little bit. Black guy lost. He said security watched it and didnt do anything but who knows
Fwd: Struck him in back with pipe then put arm around his neck trying to drag him out of car. Then they fought. Son grabbed pipe and hit perp in head then wrestled him to ground. Put knee in his back, grabbed his head and pulled back. Then some guy came over and helped him and someone called cops
Fwd: I warned him about this place but he didnt want to believe me. We just moved them back here from wash state about 3 months ago. Hes lucky it was only a pipe and hit him in back and not his head. Or had a gun or knife. But he sounds ok except for red mark on back.
