Out of Darkness – Suicide Awareness Walk

Ocean City, Md. – The public and media are invited to participate in the second annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk to promote awareness about suicide prevention. 

What: The event is a fundraising and outreach effort to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the leading national nonprofit exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy.

About: The ceremonial walk will feature memorial activities, local exhibitors and guest speakers. Senator Jim Mathias will give the opening speech for the event.

Time: 10 a.m.
Date: September 28
Place: Caroline Street and the Boardwalk, Ocean City.

Hosted by:  American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Atlantic General Hospital,  Life Crisis Center, Jesse Klump Memorial Fund, Worcester County Health Department and Core Service Agency, Worcester County Youth Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program and other local partners.
